The Youth Camp for 2022 has not yet been scheduled. Join our email list to get news as it develops.
The White River TU Chapter 698 Youth Camp for 2019 took place Saturday, June 22rd. Campers must be between the age of 10-16 and have an interest in fishing and the environment. A parent or guardian is to accompany each camper during the day and will participate in some of the activities.
This day camp is held at the Norfork National Fish Hatchery, 1414 State Hwy 177, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Programs start at 9 a.m. and run til about 5 p.m. Activities included a creek walk with entomology study, fly tying, casting a fly rod, trout dissection and, of course, fishing.
Lunch and an afternoon snack are included in this free adventure. There is a $50 registration fee that will be refunded when you show up on Saturday morning. If you cancel or are a no-show, we will keep the $50 as a donation to the chapter.
We will consider accepting a younger camper (8-9) when there is an older sibling and parent in attendance. This is primarily a judgement call on your part - attentiveness and patience are expected. The camp is limited to 25 young people, so space demands also factor into the decision.
